– Music, film, cooking, mixology… For me, creative expression is what has guided my career, instead of my career pointing me toward creativity. I have a passion for methodical rigor and structure in my work. To me, the real paradox is that more discipline and better process actually leads to more freedom, and ultimately—more creativity.
Maybe it’s because I’m very detail oriented and a stickler for minutiae, that I always try to operate with the bigger picture in mind. There’s a marketing adage which has always stuck with me: Never make the mistake of believing that your customers think about you nearly as much as you think about them.
